What are Ombré Shadow Brows?

Ombré shadow brows, sometimes referred to as an ombre eyebrow tattoo, is a popular trend in semi-permanent makeup for eyebrows. It gives you the look of filled-in, shaded brows similar to a basic powder brow, but with a defining characteristic - its shading pattern. Ombré shadow brows create an illusion of fading, wherein color gradation starts at the beginning at the brow arch (commonly referred to as the head of the brow) and gradually darkens towards the end (known as the tail).

 

Considered less invasive than microblading, ombré brows are achieved using a small machine along with a technique called pixelization, dispersing a series of fine dots of pigments across the skin to give a fluffy look to the brows. Microblading, on the other hand, uses a handheld tool that creates short, hair-like strokes into the skin. An important factor to consider is that microblading does not work for all skin types. Generally, microblading is less effective on oily skin types, as the color does not show up well and can look blurry. Natural oils can also prevent the brows from healing properly.
